New Castle Motorsports Park would like to thank Milestone Contractors for their excellent job on paving the kart track. Milestone has done an incredible job making the track as smooth as possible and working with us in formulating the right mixture for our application. Milestone was involved in paving the F-1 Track at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and is an Indiana based company with offices all over the USA.
9/22/03 - The track now has the base paved and the paving company asked that the track be run on to check smoothness. Mark Dismore Sr. ran around 30 laps forwards and backwards on Sunday in a Yamaha Light kart and Mark gave it a big thumbs up! Manicuring of the infield and grass seeding will be complete this week and the final top coat of asphalt will be paved next week. Everything is slowly coming together and we are on track for a Spring 2004 opening. We took some photos and a couple videos that are on the gallery page. Click here for details...
9/18/03 - Track Paving has started! One lap at 13' wide has been completed and the second 13' width will be completed today for the full 26' wide track. Also, construction has started on the 1/4 mile dirt oval, we have new photos of the paving on our track page. To answer some questions, the tracks will be open in Spring 2004 and there will be the 1 mile sprint track and a 1/4 mile dirt oval track to start with. Click here for details...
9/16/03 - Track Update #2- All stone work is now done and the top binder will be put on in the next day or so with paving to start soon after, the main building construction has also started. We have a couple of new aerial photos with the stone down so you can really see the track well defined now. Click here for details...
New Saturday Hours - Starting Saturday September 20th until November 8th our hours will be from 9am until 2pm, starting November 15th our Saturday hours will go back to 9am to 5pm for the Holidays.
9/08/03 - Track Update - Paving is almost underway! The stone base is being layed today and should be done by Wednesday. If the weather cooperates paving should be done by Friday.

7/21/03 - New Castle Motorsports Park News - All the grading and earth moving is done. There are now elevation changes placed throughout the track as well as banked and off camber corners! The track should be a rollercoaster ride! Also drainage is now commencing and should be completed soon. Paving should start by early August, rain has slowed down some of the construction but we are still well on target for next season. Look for new photos and more information very soon. The Comet Racing Team just returned from the WKA Manufacturers Cup race in Daytona Beach. We took our All-New 2003 EDGE Racing Chassis and Comet Blueprinted KT100's with us. We finished 2nd in Yamaha Senior Sportsman and 3rd in Yamaha Light with Mark Dismore Jr. It was a great weekend and the 2003 EDGE chassis are going to turn some heads this season! Final production chassis will be available this spring, look for a whole new advertising and marketing program this season! Look for more info on our All-New line of 2003 EDGE Kart Racing Chassis including the New ION and Mercury karts very soon.
We had some big news over the holidays as well. Final zoning approval for our proposed karting facility in New Castle Indiana was voted in favor for unanimously! The project is a go and the plan is to break ground this coming Spring of 2003! We are planning on the track to host it's first race in 2004. Look for a new track section on our website in the future!
Lots of new and exciting things are happening in 2003! Just a reminder to get your engines in early so they can be rebuilt before you race this spring!
